A neighbor, friend or family member has a remodeling project. They need a plumber, electrician, framer, interior trim carpenter, dry-waller and a flooring specialist.  Each contractor gives them a “guestimate” of price. They will work on the side for an hourly rate and may or may not ask you to supply materials. Wow what a cost savings, and they have been in their trade for 20 years, Sounds Great!!! The framer shows up, does some demo, moves a wall and asks for a check, then disappears for the next two day with his mobilel phone voicemail full.  Upon returning he does a little more work, leaves a mess and goes missing for another week.  Finally he comes back and finishes.  Now the electrician and plumber start. The electrician shows up for a couple of hours and leaves without a word.  The plumber starts work and all of a sudden something in his bid wasn’t covered.  Finally the rough end gets finished and the dry-waller starts.  Maybe he does a good job, but the interior trim guy that was scheduled a month ago is stuck on another job because he planned to be on your job two weeks ago.  Now the flooring specialist isn’t available for at least a month not sure why he just won’t return any calls.  Horror stories like this happen every day and unfortunately are very common for people who don’t hire a professional remodeling company The Remodeling Pro!
